We invite South African visual artists to submit work for The Coinage Book Three, the forthcoming issue of our literary journal.
Centred around the theme of anemoia – a longing for a past one has never known – this edition explores nostalgia, memory, and the shifting space between recollection and reality. We are interested in work that reflects, questions, or reimagines the ways in which the past is constructed and remembered.
Selected artists will present a curated body of eight works within the journal, in dialogue with a collection of contemporary South African writing.
An original artwork will be commissioned for the cover, and artists are invited to indicate their interest in being considered for this opportunity.
